(MONROE, WA) – If there's one thing legendary racecar driver, A.J. Foyt, knows about, it's speed. What he understands most about speed is that technology is everything. That's why he had the Hide-A-Hose central vacuum system installed in the 12,000 square foot home he had built in the affluent River Oaks section of Houston, Texas.

Having done some prior work for Foyt, local Houston Hide-A-Hose dealer, King Tieken of Airline Vacuum was familiar with the retired stock car racing champion's passion for technology, power and speed. Tieken knew this was a man who wasted no time reaching the top of his game. So it was no surprise to him when Foyt opted for the central vacuum system known best for power and efficiency.

Much like the powerful engines under the hood of Foyt's racecars, Hide-A-Hose's central vacuum unit is hidden out of sight and the retractable hose is concealed behind the walls in a SmartTube™. Simply pull out the amount of hose you need from the inlet valve, connect the cleaning wand with attachment and begin vacuuming. When finished, the suction from the powerful central vacuum unit retracts the hose back into the wall. This means you're able to get the job done faster and more efficiently, and then clear away in seconds, like Foyt's pit crews. And that spoke to A.J.

The day Tieken demonstrated the newly installed Hide-A-Hose system, Foyt gathered together family members and a small group of contractors to witness it. Foyt's well-documented passion for all things fast and powerful was evident in his look of awe when the system demonstrated super-suction cleaning power before retracting 50 feet of hose back into the wall with speed and efficiency. In light of the level of technology Foyt is accustomed to on the track, and given his techie home lighting and home theater that he controls with his laptop, all understood the relative significance of his statement, "Hide-A-Hose is the coolest amenity I've ever had in a house!"
