The Retractable Hose Central Vacuum System
Hide-A-Hose solves the problem of carrying and storing a central vacuum hose. Simply pull out the amount of hose you need and begin vacuuming. When you're finished, the suction from the central vacuum power unit retracts the hose.
Hose lengths are customized according to the size of the floor. Each inlet can cover up to 2300 square feet. Hide-A-Hose Central Vacuum systems can be combined with the leading central vacuum power units manufactured today.
No more dragging a hose from inlet to inlet.
No more carrying, coiling and storing a bulky hose again. Simple cleanups are just that: simple!
Now you can eliminate carrying (or storing!) a bulky hose up and down stairs or from room to room. Simply pull out the length of hose needed for the cleaning job, connect your choice of attachment and begin vacuuming. It's that easy. When you're finished, the system uses the suction from the central vacuum power unit to retract the hose back into the PVC tubing installed within the walls of the home.
Behind each inlet valve, Hide-A-Hose can store up to 50 feet of central vacuum hose in the tubing within the wall. Since longer hoses can be used (one hose can cover up to 2,300 square feet) Hide-A-Hose can reduce the number of inlets required for whole house coverage, saving you installation time.
No more dragging a hose from inlet to inlet. No more carrying, coiling and storing a bulky hose again. Simple cleanups are just that: simple!

As long as there is access to an attic or crawl space, the Hide-A-Hose Central Vacuum system can be installed in most homes . Your local installer would need to visit your home for evaluation. For existing central vacuum systems, some of the plumbing used by your system will have to be replaced. The reason is that standard central vacuum systems are plumbed with standard 90's and fittings that prevent the hose from traveling through the tubing. The Retractable Hose System actually stores the hose in the PVC tubing, so special sweep 90's and 45's are required to allow the hose to travel through the tubing. Hide-A-Hose dealers are experts in providing quality, professional installation in new and existing homes, ensuring the built-in vacuum system is installed correctly, the first time.
If you are planning to build your dream home in the near future, there will never be a better time to install a Hide-A-Hose Central Vacuum system. Make sure that you alert your builder that you want the Hide-A-Hose system. Installation is best done after plumbing and electrical work is completed, and before insulation is installed. Advise your builder of the authorized Hide-A-Hose dealers in your area who are qualified to install the system. See our dealer locator on this website.
